The power of tinctures
The definition of a tincture ( /ˈtɪŋ(k)tʃə/): "A herbal tincture is a concentrated liquid form of one or more herbs. To make a tincture, a person must soak parts of an herb in alcohol or vinegar." (The Oxford Dictionary)
USED FOR CENTURIES
Going back thousands of years, our ancestors all over the world have used a form of tincture to help support their inner wellbeing.
They made their tinctures by infusing herbs and plants into water or alcohol and this was how they took their herbal medicine.
MODERN MEETS TRADITIONAL
We make our tinctures in the same way by steeping our herbs in ethanol (this is the best carrier to absorb the herbal benefits) but we then evaporate the alcohol off this very potent herbal liquid and add rapeseed sap as our preservative to make wellbeing tinctures to support a busy modern lifestyle.
DID YOU KNOW?
When we take herbs in a liquid form, we absorb and utilise 98% of the herbal properties and only 50% if taken in a pill or powder.
